Hank March 13, 2022 for Model Number FGHF2366PFEA Hello Where is Thermistor part number 240597203 located in this refrigerator?
1 Answer Hank, the thermistor 240597220 is going to be in the freezer section located on the evaporator cover. The refrigerator thermistor 5303918775 is going to be located on the right side of the refrigerator just behind a square cover 5304508041. Read More...
Frank February 17, 2022 for Model Number EI28BS56IS1 Hi, I have an Electrolux Frig Model ei28bs56is1 that is running but not colling at all. The compression not running. I checked that there is power of 120 volts going to the invertor. I check the wires that come from the main board and it does have about 5 volts. I checked the winding pins on the compressor and it has continuity between the pins. The Ohms read 16 between each pins. When I check the power to the pins , it seems to be getting 170 volts based on check the power coming from the pin. When I plug in the frig the alarm comes on for high heat and power failure. When I ran the diagnotic test #26 BIMetal Defrost shows up as open. I'm not sure what the problem is.
1 Answer Frank, If there is power getting to the compressor then this would be a faulty compressor if it is not running. Read More...
Frank February 13, 2022 for Model Number EI28BS56IS1 Hi, My ELECTROLUX Model EI28BS56IS1 the whole frig is ward. Everything appears to be working except the compressor is not turning on. I did check that the invertor on the compressor is getting power. I also checked the 3 pins on the compressor that there's continuity between all pins and verified that there is no short between each pin testing it to ground. I checked the Ohms between the pins of the compressor and did not get any reading. I'm not sure what the issue might be at this point?
1 Answer Frank, the compressor windings should have had a resistance when testing the pins and it should have been around 10 Ohms. The lack of a resistance reading would indicate the compressor 5303918411 has failed and it would require an EPA certified technician to repair. Read More...
John January 24, 2022 for Model Number FGHG2344MF6 My Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer is warm on the fridge side and cold on the freezer side. We recently replaced the damper control and it seemed to fix the problem for 4 weeks. Now the problem has returned - temp on the fridge side is 60 degrees F and the freezer is 0 degrees F. The temp reads 61, but an instant thermometer reads 51 degrees. Temperature sensor issue? The damper is open/fan is running - no frosting issues with the freezer.
1 Answer John, the temperature sensor 240597220 would need to be tested for resistance from the main control after unplugging the refrigerator power cord. At the connection J4A, the wire at pin 3 would be tested to the wire at pin 9 and it should measure 19,869 Ohms at 50°F. It should measure 17,414 Ohms at 55°F, 15296 Ohms at 60°F, and 13,469 Ohms at 65°F. If the sensor tests within range, the main control 241996355 would be the cause of failure. Read More...
Hank Cheranichit November 15, 2021 for Model Number FFSS26144QS1A My Side by side Frigidaire refrigerator temp is getting too cold even though I set our digital number at 7. It went down to 25F and minus 5F in the freezer compartment. Should I go ahead and replace the thermistor in the fridge only or both. Thank you
1 Answer Hank, You can test the temperature sensor for a resistance of 5K ohms at room temperature. If the resistance is good then the issue would be a faulty control board and if the resistance is bad then the issue will be the thermistor. Read More...
