Don May 12, 2021 for Model Number FPHG2399MF1 Hi there, Our Frigidaire Professional Refrigerator is recently not cooling properly. The freezer is set at and remains at 0 and seems to be working just fine however the fridge portion is staying at 56-58 no matter what we lower the temperature to on the settings. Now the high temperature indicator light is always on as well. Would this be the Temperature Sensor or do you think it is something else?
1 Answer Don, Check to make sure that the fan motor in the freezer is working. If it is then check to make sure that the evaporator coils are not completely iced up which would indicate a defrost issue. If they are frosted up then you will want to test the defrost heater and thermostat for continuity. If there is continuity then the control board will be the issue and if there is no continuity when the thermostat is in ice then the thermostat would be the issue. Read More...

Rick February 28, 2021 for Model Number FGHC2331PFAA My refer/freezer keeps the right temp I set it to but the freezer fan motor runs all the time. I have changed the temp sensor in the refrigerator thinking it might be that, but no luck still runs. I have checked the door seals they look good, also took off the bottom cover below the doors and vacuumed and cleaned everything I could get to and it just will not stop running. I live in Texas and we went through that winter storm and the power was off on and alot. The unit is approx. 5 years old and been working fine up till now. Out of ideas, I need help.. Thank You Rick

Richard December 28, 2020 for Model Number FGHC2331PFAA Side by side refrigerator, Refrigerator side is warm 40 to 55 degrees, and temperature display shows OP, -30, -20, and counts back to normal temps throughout the day, 37. 35 etc. At this time I have changed the temperature sensor on the refrigerator side, the damper, and the refrigerator's main control board. The freezer size temperature is 0, and the temp display works fine. Diagnostic tests only show problems with refrigerator thermistor OP. Do I have a second temperature sensor? Do I need to change the freezer temperature sensor? What else should I try?
1 Answer Richard, there are two sensors 240597220 in the refrigerator. One is located up at the top and one is located at the middle of the refrigerator. Darrahg December 14, 2020 for Model Number LGHB2869LF4 Fresh Food cabinet gets warm after a few days, freezer will then start to warm, both temps with then fluctuate every few hours. Freezer evaporator is encased in ice. I have so far replaced a bad defrost thermostat and the fridge thermistor and damper. I have tested the defrost heater both continuity/ohms - 26.3 and made a jumper to bypass the thermostat, it gets hot! (accidentally burnt myself!) I tested the high and low voltage at the inverter and ohm'd the compressor, all 3 right under 19. The wiring diagram shows a freezer thermistor (same part as the fridge), but I cannot find it anywhere. The only wires I have are going to the evap fan and to the heater/thermostat. There is one little covered port in the top of the freezer - would it be located there? Logic would say located by the coil.
1 Answer DarrahG, As far as a thermistor goes in the freezer, it will be located either on the back wall, one of the side walls or the ceiling. It will not be on the evaporator. This unit does not implement a thermistor to work as part of the defrost system and it does sound like this is the type of issue that you are having. Test you defrost thermostat to make sure that when it is sitting in the ice on the evaporator coil that it has continuity to it. Keep in mind that it would have to get down to 15 degrees to test closed for continuity. If the thermostat is good then this will most likely be a faulty main control board causing the unit to not defrost which will effect both the refrigerator and the freezer compartments. Read More...
Tom November 06, 2020 for Model Number LGHB2867PF2 Freezer is not maintaining temperature (warming up to 34). Evaporator coil is frozen up. Defrost sensor is open so forced defrost does not energize heating element. Remove switch and hard wire across to heating element to allow forced defrost. (Heating element 28 ohms). Question 1 I believe this means that I need a defrost sensor. At this point the freezer is at room temp but temp reading on front door reads 0 deg F. Refrigerator is 34. Question 2 Is there a thermistor that needs to be replaced?

Bon August 08, 2020 for Model Number FFH2622M80 My Frigidaire side by side ice maker quit working. The dispenser functions normally but it will not call for water to make ice. If I apply voltage to the solenoid it will open and flow water to the ice maker but even after it freezes it will not cycle the mold heater or eject the ice. Is it possible that the thermister in the dispenser is bad? Is there an ohm chart I can reference it to temperature too?
