This side mounting bracket kit includes the hardware needed to secure a dishwasher to the adjacent cabinetry from the sides rather than from the countertop. It is commonly used in kitchens with granite, stone, or other countertops where top-mounting screws cannot be used. Replace this kit if the original brackets are bent, broken, or missing, causing the dishwasher to shift or slide during operation.

For Frigidaire Dishwasher Side Mounting Bracket Kit (Part Number: OEM16936284)

Carol, this model does not utilize a side mount kit. There will be a cap on the inside of the tub at each side that would need to be removed. This will allow mounting screws to be used to secure the side of the tub to the cabinet. The cap would then be reinstalled.

Daniel B. for Model Number FPID2495QFOA

I recently had new countertop installed and the top mounting brackets which were used in the old wood/Formica top could not be used to secure the dishwasher. The countertop installers said the black plastic plugs inside of dishwasher door jamb could be removed and to then drill a hole through the metal side and then secure dishwasher to cabinet side with a screw. This would not involve the use of a bracket. What is the Frigidaire proposed method to secure a dishwasher not using top mount? I have called Frigidaire's 800# and that only led me through prompts to local service people.

Jim, no this kit will not work on your model. A company that installs counter tops should have a mounting kit that attaches to your quartz top.

Uncitom, Here is how to mount the unit when you have granite or quartz counter top. Floor Anchoring This procedure is difficult and should be used only if countertop mounting brackets cannot be used. 1. Screw 1/4” lag screws, (not included), through holes provided in frame rail. See Figure 15. 2. Use expansion fasteners if floor is concrete.

Hello Aaron, This model does not have side mounting brackets available. As per the manufacturer, you will need to use 1/4 inch lag screws through the holes provided in the frame rails, (left and right) to secure the unit to the floor to prevent tilting when the door is opened and racks are loaded and out. If the floor is concrete, you will need to use expansion fasteners. The screws and expansion fasteners are available from your local hardware store. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
