Christopher January 14, 2013 for Model Number GLEH1642DS1 I moved my stackable and hooked it up. I test ran the drier and washer and every thing seem fine except I did not allow the washer to cycle through before I stoped it. I set the unit to drain and or spin and nothing happened. I then removed all the water, unplugged the unit, flipped the breaker and tried to start the washer up. Nothing goes with the washer. Drier is fine. Is it the timer?
1 Answer Hello Christopher, If the washer is not working at all which would include water turning on then you will want to check the door switch to make sure that it is not bad. Also check power supply to make sure that a breaker has not tripped. Read More...
Debra August 18, 2012 for Model Number gleh1642ds1 the timer went out on my washer unit, it is the stacked ones, anyway i had a repair man to come and fix it, after a week it the washer would not spin out unless you pushed in on the front panel, now the only way it will spin out the clothes is when the dryer is running. i called the store's repairman and they told me i would have to pay for another timer plus labor. can you help me
1 Answer Debra, Did the servicer replace the washer timer with part no. 134389700 ? At this point, based on your description, the dryer has to be running to allow the washer to spin, That would be an indication of a wiring issue. First you had to push in on the control panel, now the washer won't spin unless the dryer is on,indicating your completing the circuit to the washer motor, through a circuit in the dryer. We'll be sending you some information that should help you out. Read More...
