Rich February 23, 2012 for Model Number fde336res1 I just got done putting on new felt around the door and as I was putting it back together the top fell off the top of the dryer and was hanging by the wires now the timer won't work. I was trying to careful I checked the wires and none were lose or off the connection, is there anything that I should check or did I screw up the timer. Thank you for help
1 Answer Hi Rich. Jump together the 2 - door switch wires ( blue to gray ). If the unit starts you will need to replace the door switch part # 5308001614 This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source for the part . If not then you need to look under the top panel itself to see if a wire snapped in half or you have a loose connection. The wiring diagram should be behind the timer area. Thank You. Read More...
Danny Lauve December 23, 2011 for Model Number Sears Kenmore stack 417.98702891 My timer sparked, smouldered, now DOA. Is this the correct one to replace it? I have pictures and model numbers from the timer (model M460-G)
1 Answer Danny, You didn't state which timer you would need, so , 131062300 is the dryer timer , and 131437500 is the washer timer, for the model number you supplied. Based on your post, you're going to need a new timer. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Kris October 05, 2011 for Model Number 417.98702891 There is a jumper wire on my old timer from #1 to #3 connection on back. Where can I get one? Buzzer continues and keeps going.
1 Answer Hello Kris. You will either need to use the old jumper wire or make a new wire fro the new timer 131062300. They do not offer the jumper wire for purchase. Hope this helps. Read More...
