The Dryer Timer is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. It is responsible for controlling the drying cycles by regulating the amount of time the dryer runs. The timer ensures that clothes are dried according to the selected settings, contributing to efficient and effective drying performance.

Causes of a bad timer can include electrical issues such as a short circuit, worn-out internal components due to frequent use, or exposure to moisture that can damage the timer mechanism.

Symptoms of a bad Dryer Timer include:

  • The dryer not advancing through cycles
  • The dryer running continuously without shutting off
  • Inconsistent drying times
  • The timer knob not turning or feeling loose

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Based on your post information, with both units inoperative, you need to check for a loose or damaged Black wire from the L1 leg at the machine terminal block and trace it to both timers.
