Ken January 25, 2018 for Model Number GLET1031SC0 WASHER My washer fills then doesn't proceed to agitate at all. Timer never advances to agitate. It then can be manually moved to final spin cycle and spins out perfect and even advances timer to end the spin cycle. Seems like timer doesn't work but only on wash cycle? Lid switch locks fine on the spin cycle. Should it lock in agitate? It does not.
1 Answer Ken, The lid switch must work for the washer to agitate and spin. With the door lock working during the spin cycle then this will not be the issue. It would be recommended to check to see if the motor is getting power to the motor when the unit is in the agitation. If there is no power then this issue would most likely be a faulty timer. Kevin July 13, 2015 for Model Number Sears 417.91702000 (over/under washer dryer) The washer wont turn on when the selector switch is turned to any wash cycle position. The machine ran fine for 2 loads and then would not turn on. The dryer works fine.
1 Answer Hello Kevin. Check the lid switch and make sure it is good. If so, then check the timer and the water valve on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Chris October 25, 2013 for Model Number gcet1041a The machine wont change cycles, if you turn it by hand, it will perform the next cycle. Timer assembly no good?
1 Answer Chris, Yes, If the timer won't advance on it's own, it is usually and timer motor or gear case failure in the interior of the timer. Since this component is a "sealed" component, you'll need to replace the timer assembly. Read More...
Danny December 08, 2012 for Model Number GLET1031FS0 My Frigidaire Laundry Center Fills and agitates, but does not pump or spin. The timer would make a slight buzzing/timer sound when it hits the spin cycle, but nothing else. I ordered a new timer and put it on and put to the spin cycle and it started to pump out water, but the water valve was opening at the same time. Upon further inspection I had received a timer that looked the same, but had a slightly different part#. But it was good because it showed that the pump was working. I sent the wrong timer back, received the new correct timer, installed it and it is doing the same thing the original timer was doing, no pump/no spin. Please help.
1 Answer Danny, The first check you need to make is the lid lock switch assembly 134101800. The neutral circuit to the timer is completed through the lock switch, if the switch does not complete the neutral circuit the washer wont drain and spin, but it will fill and wash. Read More...
Mike October 05, 2012 for Model Number Fridgeidare washer dryer apt.type one unit When I turn timer knob the only cycle that works is the spin. No water comes in to fill washer.
1 Answer Hello Mike. Try the washer on both hot and cold settings and see if it brings in water on either cycle. If not, and there is no power coming to the water valve, you mat have a bad timer or pressure switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
