Timothy P Los Angeles , CA July 27, 2014 Appliance: Model AP3219509 (134159500) DRIVE MOTOR Motor died on washer I took the easy fix first and replaced the Capacitor. That got me three loads before the motor burned out. I ordered the motor from AppliancePartsPros.com after a google search for "best price model # 134159500 Drive motor " The part arrived in 5 days, and it took about 15 minutes to remove the old motor and replace it with the new one. Simple and easy. four screws, four nuts, and two electrical connections. — The hardest step was one of the four mounting screws was way back inside and it took some contortion to get my hand and the wrench into that small space. - Very pleased with myself. — I was doing laundry 25 minutes later. Susan S Pelkie , MI October 31, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Frg(V1) / Washer FWS445RFS0 Top loading washer would not agitate or spin h20 out after a clicking noise; the motor wouldn't engage or would start & then stop finally figured that it was the motor &/or capacitor I found your site which was most helpful. I saw on your forum, that others had replaced a motor & capacitor with + results. I was willing to spend what I thought was a reasonable amount & your guarantee was the clincher. I knew that if I called the appliance store where we had purchased the washer in 1998, it would be very expensive & even more important, it would take many days as they would have to order the part & then schedule a service call. I installed the motor & capacitor & was "back in business"!! I also have to say that your videos are "state of the art" . I really appreciate your website (fast efficient s&h) & reasonable prices & shipping. Andrew P Newport Beach , CA December 25, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Frg(V1) / Laundry Center FLSG72GCS9 Burning smell and washing machine no longer worked From the smell it was pretty clear the drive motor had burnt out so I decided to replace it along with the capacitor. It made sense to replace the Idler Pulley and drive belt at the same time as these are both wear and tear items and were not too expensive. The video was excellent and helped a lot, the drive motor, belt and capacitor were simple to replace, with the far corner nut of the drive motor being the most fiddly but I have large hands and access is tight. The Idler Pulley proved to take the longest time, with the circlip a pain to remove as it was compressed by the washer and very hard to see. As I have a stackable washer/dryer I did not have the clearance to move the drum upwards. To get around this I put the unit on its side that allowed me to see and gain better access. All in all, a great job and the parts came in only 2 days with standard shipping. I can definitely recommend AppliancePartsPros.com, awesome. Thank you! Thomas R Brandon , IA March 21, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Frigidaire/Laundry Center FLEB8200DS0 Washing Machine would not operate in any mode, and smoke emanated from the cabinet top. I suspected that the washer motor had shorted out due to a recent basement-flooding episode. I consulted the AppliancePartsPros online "exploded view" documentation, which was extremely helpful in telling me how to disassemble the unit as well as identifying all of the individual replacement parts available for it. As it turned out, the drive motor was indeed shorted, and its failure also caused (through overcurrent) the bimetallic door-locking mechanism to fail, too (the plastic lock mechanism housing melted and this was what caused the smoke). I ordered a motor and new lock mechanism, installed them, and the washer works fine once again. I am delighted with all aspects of AppliancePartsPros' service: low part price, comprehensive support documentation, fast shipping speed, and low shipping cost. Jim C Pittsburgh , PA November 18, 2014 Appliance: Model 417.9082990 Drive motor and lid switch burned up Replaced both. The parts came the day after I ordered them. I had the drive motor replaced in less minutes with no problems. the lid switch gave me a bit of trouble because the mounting holes on the new switch were a bit under sized.even being self tapping screws they did not fit.i just had to use a little bigger screw to open them up and then all went fine Read More...
