Chuckie July 09, 2016 for Model Number Not sure of the model number but the agitator part is 175D2101 or mfg # WH43X25442 I have a GE washer with this agitator part number. Agitator frequently becomes dislodged and comes off the coupler. I think I am pressing it on correctly but it continues to come off. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Chuckie, This is most likely caused by broken or stressed "clips" that are made on the bottom of the agitator that retain the agitator to the coupler. I would have provided the correct part number but could not since no model number for the unit was provided. Read More...

Joanne January 31, 2016 for Model Number wbsr3140 I am finding very small dark spots on clothing after a wash cycle, visible enough to ruin the piece of clothing; at times there is a heavy smell of oil/grease in the wash basket and traces of grease at the bottom of the basket. Will removing the agitator and cleaning underneath fix the problem? thanks
1 Answer Joanne, Yes you would want to remove the agitator and clean underneath of it. Also if you use a liquid fabric softener the residue from left over fabric softener will cause this type of issue. Read More...
Kevin January 02, 2016 for Model Number WJRR4170G2WW My washer wont spin or agitate. Could this be a problem with the lid switch?
1 Answer Kevin, Yes the lid switch could definitely be an issue with the unit not agitating or spinning. You will want to check the lid switch and also check the magnet on the lid to make sure that it is not damaged. You could also remove the front panel of the unit and check the light that is on the board located on the motor. It would flash in a sequence and based on the sequence would be a error code. If you get the tech sheet out of the control panel it will tell you what the sequence means. Read More...
1 Answer Dianne, The agitator not turning could be a lid switch issue if the unit is not spinning also. It could be a transmission issue. If the motor is running and agitator is not turning then the transmission would most likely be the issue. Read More...

Wally September 08, 2015 for Model Number WJRR4170E1WW Machine filled too high and overflowed, does not drain and spin. Is the timer the problem? Worth fixing? What new machine is equally simple to use? Thanks
1 Answer Wally, With the unit overflowing, it sounds like the issue could be in the pressure switch or the pressure hose being damaged. If the unit was working til the overflow it sounds like the motor and drain pump may have been damaged but could also be the timer. Read More...
