Hello Chuckie, This is most likely caused by broken or stressed "clips" that are made on the bottom of the agitator that retain the agitator to the coupler. I would have provided the correct part number but could not since no model number for the unit was provided.

Joanne, Yes you would want to remove the agitator and clean underneath of it. Also if you use a liquid fabric softener the residue from left over fabric softener will cause this type of issue.

Kevin, Yes the lid switch could definitely be an issue with the unit not agitating or spinning. You will want to check the lid switch and also check the magnet on the lid to make sure that it is not damaged. You could also remove the front panel of the unit and check the light that is on the board located on the motor. It would flash in a sequence and based on the sequence would be a error code. If you get the tech sheet out of the control panel it will tell you what the sequence means.

Dianne, The agitator not turning could be a lid switch issue if the unit is not spinning also. It could be a transmission issue. If the motor is running and agitator is not turning then the transmission would most likely be the issue.

Wally, With the unit overflowing, it sounds like the issue could be in the pressure switch or the pressure hose being damaged. If the unit was working til the overflow it sounds like the motor and drain pump may have been damaged but could also be the timer.
