Teresa August 28, 2015 I have a GE washer. The agitator was not working, I replaced the coupling and now its working great but my problem is, during the spin cycle the agitator keeps coming off. How do I get the agitator to stay on now that I have removed it?
1 Answer Hello Teresa. Make sure the agitator is pressed all the way down. If so, and it keeps coming off, you will need to replace the agitator because it is damaged. Read More...
Lynn D August 01, 2015 for Model Number WHRE5260E1WW The washer is ripping up towels. Do I need another agitator? What is the cause and solution for this? It washes well, so I am hesitant to buy a new one.
1 Answer Lynn, While it is possible that the agitator could have rough parts on it that can cause this issue you will want to also make sure that you are not overloading the unit as this is the most common reason for the unit to tear towels. Read More...
Mike July 02, 2015 for Model Number hswp1000mww New washing machine was a floor model. Was hauled on its back in a van then carried down stairs. Did not have shipping rod installed. Now when it spins it makes a lot of noise. Sounds like its out of balance. Could hauling it on its back have cause something to get out of place?
1 Answer Hello Mike. Yes, you will need to remove the front and check all the suspension rods in the unit. Read More...

Natalie April 13, 2015 for Model Number EWA6500D1WW Should the top section of my GE washer agitator move in a controlled way or just slightly move from the bottom parts agitation? The bottom circular part that hooks into the washer moves very well but the shaft part just floats along. I am trying to decide if the agitator needs to be replaced or if this is the way the washer agitator is suppose to function. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Natalie, The top of the agitator WH43X10034 should turn one way but not the other. If it will turn both ways, it will require replacement for proper agitation action. Read More...

Mojo March 28, 2015 for Model Number Old, old, old heavy duty large capacity GE I places a small robe with an attached belt. Al March 24, 2015 for Model Number WHDRR418G1WW Hello, my top load washer has stopped spinning and will make this loud noise as if its unbalanced, it does fill and drain and is also making a clicking noise at the knob and is leaking water. HELP
1 Answer Al, For the leaking issue would say to check the tub ring to make sure that it still has solution in it. Also check the tub seal. It is possible that the suspension rods on the unit are bad causing the unbalance issue and check the apron where the suspension hangs from as it may be sagging in which you will need the apron kit part number WH49X20925.
