Kevin March 11, 2015 for Model Number wh43x10034 We bought the agitator assembly since the clothes were not agitating. When I put it on, it still does not agitate, but looks like it tries. Should the bell that the agitator assembly fits on be able to move? When placed on the gear, it does not move. But when you push it down further, like when the assembly is on it, it moves freely.
1 Answer Hello Kevin. No, it sounds like the transmission is damaged and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Laura March 10, 2015 Hi, I have a GE Washer, Model GTWP1800D0WW and recently I had to have a repairman replace the selection dial on my washer. He suggested I keep an eye on the agitator because it seemed unusually loose and the upper part wobbles back and forth. Is that a sign the agitator needs to be replaced? Should I be checking something else too? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Laura. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...

Jennifer January 14, 2015 for Model Number WLSR3000G5WW Trying to figure out if I need to replace the complete agitator assembly or just the coupling or if it is something else. I can spin the top portion of the agitator freely by hand. When I start a cycle, there's a lot of loud clicking going on when it gets to the agitation portion and the agitator is just barely agitating or not at all. The machine seems to fill, drain and spin perfectly. Any ideas of where I should start to do the repair? Thank you for any help you may provide.
1 Answer Hello Jennifer. The best thing is to remove the agitator from the tub assembly. Then you can inspect the coupling to see if it is bad on the unit. This also gives you a chance to inspect the agitator out of the unit. Read More...
Jim December 20, 2014 for Model Number GE GTWN280D1WW The agitator on this model has slits on the bottom of each fin(?). Clothes get caught in the slits and tear. Is there a replacement agitator the does not have the slits on the bottom?
1 Answer Jim, Unfortunately there is not a different agitator for your unit. You will want to make sure that you are not overloading the unit as this would be the primary cause for this type of issue. Read More...

Justin July 28, 2014 for Model Number whdsr315d0ww My GE washer does not agitate or spin, but it drains just fine. The belt seems to be in good shape. When it is time for it to spin, I hear a noise from the top part of the washer where the timer/cycle dial is located. Any idea what might be wrong?
1 Answer Hello Justin, This can be the timer WH12X10254, the transmission WH38X10002, or the clutch, (which is made on the motor assembly WH20X10019). The timer is most likely since you hear a noise from the control panel during the failure. Read More...
Ron G May 26, 2014 for Model Number GTWN4250D1WS I have a ge washer model GTWN4250D1WS. The top portion of the agitator does seem to engage and pull cloths down into tube. I fixed this problem on my old machine by replaces the dog ears, but cant find where this can be done on the GE model. Only reference I can find is to replace either the agitator assembly or the coupling. Is there not a way to take the agitator apart and replace dog ears?
1 Answer Hello Ron. No, if the agitator is not working, it sounds like the coupling WH43X10032 will need to be checked out. These do not use dogs. Read More...
