Ed J December 21, 2017 for Model Number J487003AV This is a fine old GE Avocado Green Electric range from 1972. It needs the double pole (4 wires, 2 in 2 out) push on push off switch that controls the fluorescent tube surface light. It of course does not need to be specifically GE, just a switch that will work. The current broken switch is silver color metal. Thank you, Ed
1 Answer Ed, The part number for the lamp switch will be WB24X99 but unfortunately is discontinued with no suitable replacement available. Read More...

Ken October 27, 2017 for Model Number grmf3202rm-1 I need to replace my lower bake element in an older GE Oven. The model is GRFM3202RM-1. I can't find any information in the owners manual, and the model number is not valid online. Can you help? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ken, We checked the microfische for the model number and was unable to locate it as a valid model number. You may need to contact either the manufacturer or an antique appliance company for a part number. If the model number is engraved on the I.D. tag, you may be able to read it better by shining a flashlight from the side and you may find the number more legible. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Chris March 28, 2017 for Model Number GE model 750 made in 1959 This is a very, very old GE model 750 wall oven. I need to replace the baking element. I cannot find another character (letter or number) after the model number 750. The tag is very very worn. I Have found online a baking element which looks exactly the same and has the same dimensions and same one and a half inch distance from plans to screw-on connections. This replacement would be 2300 Watts at 220 V. I cannot find the wattage for the original Bake element. I don't want to get the wrong part. Can you tell me the bake element wattage for this model? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Chris. The model number will have to be verified on the units I.D. tag since the one listed came up invalid. This will be necessary to look up and specific parts such as the one you requested. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
F.B. February 19, 2017 for Model Number GE P7 Double Wall Unit Ovens The bake heating element in my old GE oven burned out (a WB44X169). I happen to have on hand a nearly new WB44X200 element. It appears to fit the space in the oven. What are the possible problems if I install the X200 as a replacement?
1 Answer Hello F.B., The two most common problems with an incorrect element are that the element is too long behind the mounts and the wiring contacts the unit chassis and trips the breaker and burns the wiring AND incorrect wattage. The disadvantage to incorrect wattage is that the unit will not hold proper temperature in the bake compartment so recipes will not come out right. Read More...
