Christopher March 13, 2023 for Model Number PDT845SSJ0SS The top plastic assembly around the buttons of my GE Profile dishwasher and top part of the door broke into two pieces. I was able to just pop it off and looks to be secured just by clips. To replace it, it looks like its simple clips you pop it into. Is that all is needed to do this repair? 1 Answer Hello Christopher, the Console cover snaps onto the top console cover which is mounted to the housing bottom. It should just snap down however if it is difficult to align and snap in place, then the door would need to be taken apart and the top control console removed to get better access. Read More...

Martha March 19, 2020 for Model Number PDT750SSF1SS I have power and every button works on the panel, except start. The start button doesn't seem to engage the unit at all, like it died. All other buttons work and even chime when pressed. Thoughts?
1 Answer Martha, based on the information provided, the start button in the user interface WD21X22074 is not closing contacts when pressed. This would indicate that the user interface would need to be replaced. However, it would be recommended that the latch WD21X10490 is tested for continuity from pin 1 to pin 2, then from pin 1 to pin 3 while the door is closed. Ronald February 17, 2019 for Model Number PDT750SSF0SS The chrome trim on the edge of the top of the door is loose at one end. I think it is broken and won't stay attached at that end. I would expect that this is a part of the WD34X24296. Can it buy this chrome part without buying the console cover assembly? If I purchase the whole assembly, how hard is it to replace this part?
