Kindway November 05, 2014 for Model Number GEJT912 I have read on other sites that replacing these control boards is a little tougher for the do-it-yourselfer than it might seem because the replacement board's wiring is a little different than the original board's wiring that'll need to be removed. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Kindway, The new part should come with instructions if there are any deviations to the original configuration. Read More...
Joe V. September 09, 2013 for Model Number GE PROFILE BUILT IN WALL OVEN - JT912B-F1BB My oven door remained locked after self cleaning cycle started. The circuit breaker to the oven would not reset and kept switching back to the off position. No light or response in the control panel. The F2 error code appeared one time. Is this problem caused by the overheated and shorted circuit board (Part # AP3957561)? How do I get the oven door to unlock and opened? How do I replace the circuit board if the door cannot be opened? Do I have to get the oven out of the wall to replace this part? I really appreciate your help on this. Thank you very much. J. Vu
1 Answer Hello Joe, The F2 fault code is the indication of a runaway temperature. As per the tech sheet: • Welded relay contacts • Airflow to rear of unit • High resistance in oven sensor leads/connectors (especially at sensor in rear) JT912BF1BB What this means is you need to check the temperature sensor through the harness that connects it to the control board and then check it at he sensor. This will reveil any abnormal resistance through the harness. If it checks good, the control will require replacement to correct the issue. Read More...
Forrest Q. January 27, 2013 for Model Number JT912SOF1SS Frequently stops operating and shows F7 code. At that time keypad will not operate. Sometimes I can clear the code by pressing clear button but keypad will still not operate. If I use the buttons to lock and then unlock, the keypad and oven will operate normally. William M November 09, 2012 for Model Number JT912BOF1BB Hi, my oven keeps turning off. Sometimes it will stay on for a while. It gets worse when the weather is cooler. It will beep and flash code F0.
1 Answer Hello William, The error code F0 indicates a stuck keypad and would need to have the keypad replaced WB36T10549. In some cases it may be necessary to replace the clock assembly WB27T10800 as well. Read More...
Bob November 27, 2011 for Model Number JT912CF6CC When the oven is turned on, everything works for about 15-20 minutes. Then it stops and flashes F9. After that the locked indicator light flashes. Turning off the power and letting it cool down will let you start up the oven again for 15-20 minutes. Any ideas? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Bob. Based on the error code you provided, it sounds like the oven door lock WB14T10018 is bad. Check for bad wires and replace the lock assembly. If the code continues, you will need to replace the control WB27T10800 as well. Hope this helps. Read More...
Hunt September 03, 2011 for Model Number jt912sok4ss my oven will not work anymore, i was told that it is the control board it is all digital and push button the onloy thing works is the light in it i need to be sure this is the problem before i order the new part
1 Answer Hunt, You should be getting a "failure code" in the display ( F1,F2, F3, etc.) if you have an issue with the control or it's circuits and inputs. You could have a bad touchpad assembly as well WB36T10559, that component is more susceptible to failure than the control at this point. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
