Mario September 15, 2014 for Model Number JGBP24BEA7WH Hi, my problem is that the oven does not work. When I take it apart, I see that the igniter works. Sometimes there is a sound and click and work and other times there is no clicking and the unit is not working. Would this be an igniter or a control board problem.
1 Answer Mario, Test for 3.2-3.6 vac at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Len March 26, 2013 I had trouble with temp not being met at my oven. I changed the sensor and it didn't help. Is it possible the control is bad? I have to turn the control 50 degrees higher than my desired temp to get it to work right.
1 Answer Hello Len. If the sensor is new on the unit, then it sounds like the control is the issue and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Bill March 10, 2013 for Model Number JGBP28WEA4WW (Control RG01BXP001CN-AB) We broke the cover for the controls where you set the time of day. The plastic piece broke and the white cover. The plastic is part of the control board, but I don't need the electronics as it all works fine when I rig up the stove so that the button works. So, I would just like the plastic piece to which the control board (part 129 on the diagram) mounts and the white cover (part 128 on the diagram). But it appears that the control board must be bought in its entirety. Do you have a non-working control board with the plastic tabs attached where you push the bottons?
1 Answer Bill, Unfortunately the control board will have to be replaced to get the plastic part that you are needing. Read More...
Ferd January 05, 2013 for Model Number 362.72321002 I need to replace the control board for my stove. The original number is wb27k10048. There is a replacement number of wb27k10141. I have read that you might need a repairman to replace the newer board. Is there some special wiring with this board or is it a direct replacement for the original board. I plan on replacing it myself.
1 Answer Hello Ferd, The control board may have been redesigned but should have instructions included on how to rewire if it is necessary to do so. Read More...
Brad December 05, 2012 for Model Number 36275321002 started the oven the other day while cooking dinner while waiting for it to pre heat the oven filled with gas and shot flames out of the door now it doesnt work at all broiler at top works and stove top but not the oven also the oven has never heated up tp proper temp any ideas??
1 Answer Brad, you most likely had a weak or faulty oven igniter WB13K21 causing a delayed ignition, this could cause the circumstances you described. The igniter produces an amp draw of 3.2 to 3.6 amps, this in turn opens the switch inside the gas valve WB19K36 if the amp draw was low and long enough, it could cause the valve to open but not ignite, until there was enough gas built up in the area to "explode". This could also be the cause of your oven temperature issue. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Thelma. You will need to check the oven sensor and see if it is bad in the unit. It should read around 1100 ohms at room temp and 1650 ohms at 350°. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Pete S. August 11, 2011 for Model Number GE oven/range Model # JGBP28BEA6WH Got a F2 code, Reset oven, No further code. Temp feels correct. What's the glitch? Do not have thermometer to verify actual oven temp.
1 Answer Hello Pete. If you reset the unit, and it has stopped the code, then it might be ok. However, if the code comes back, you will need to replace the control WB27K10141. Hope this helps. Read More...
