Hello Len. If the sensor is new on the unit, then it sounds like the control is the issue and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Bill for Model Number JGBP28WEA4WW (Control RG01BXP001CN-AB)

We broke the cover for the controls where you set the time of day. The plastic piece broke and the white cover. The plastic is part of the control board, but I don't need the electronics as it all works fine when I rig up the stove so that the button works. So, I would just like the plastic piece to which the control board (part 129 on the diagram) mounts and the white cover (part 128 on the diagram). But it appears that the control board must be bought in its entirety. Do you have a non-working control board with the plastic tabs attached where you push the bottons?

1 Answer

Bill, Unfortunately the control board will have to be replaced to get the plastic part that you are needing.

Hello Ferd, The control board may have been redesigned but should have instructions included on how to rewire if it is necessary to do so.

Brad, you most likely had a weak or faulty oven igniter WB13K21 causing a delayed ignition, this could cause the circumstances you described. The igniter produces an amp draw of 3.2 to 3.6 amps, this in turn opens the switch inside the gas valve WB19K36 if the amp draw was low and long enough, it could cause the valve to open but not ignite, until there was enough gas built up in the area to "explode". This could also be the cause of your oven temperature issue.

Hello Pete. If you reset the unit, and it has stopped the code, then it might be ok. However, if the code comes back, you will need to replace the control WB27K10141. Hope this helps.
