Hello David, To remove the ignitor you will remove the screws securing the burner bowls to the burner. Once removed then you will disconnect the electrode wire from electrode. Electrode should be able to be removed at this time. Make sure power supply to unit is turned off.

HI George. You need to find the supplied service tech. sheet either in the controls or on the lower inner frame after you remove the drawer. It will tell you the electrical devices resistances to see if they are bad. The volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 if needed. You can unplug the ribbon cable from the control board to see if the light goes out, if it does then the keypad was shorted or stuck. Part # 383EW1N006E. If not then you need to plug it back in and see if the burner sensor is sticking shut and allowing the surface light to stay on. Unplug the sensor lead wire and see if the light goes out. If so it is burner part # 5300W1R004A. If not then your control board logic is most likely at fault. Part # 6871W1N002A. Thank You.

Hello BorisK. Based on the information you provided, if the spark module and the igniters are new, you may have a bad switch WB24T10071 or the wiring is bad. Test the wiring and make sure it is good. If so, replace the switches. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hi Boris. TO RAISE OR REMOVE COOK TOP: Remove 4 burner caps and 4 burner heads Remove 4 electrodes AP2020568 (pull up on the electrode while gently rotating at the same time) & disconnect electrode leads. Remove (12) T-15 torx screws which mount the orifice holders to the cook top Disengage the 2 front clips using a flat screw driver and gently raise the top high enough for the prop rods to hold it upright. Disengage the prop rods from the range slide panels While raising the front of the cooktop, lower the rear of the cook top and shift the top left or right in order to disengage the hinge pins at the rear. Hi John. It is common that the porcelin or ceramic body will crack over time and now the igniter will short to chassis ground. It is part # WB13K18. Thank You.
