Ken January 13, 2019 for Model Number PSDS3YGXCFSS Precise fill no longer works... water dispenses fine. I replaced the front panel but that did nothing. Is it the flow meter in the back that would cause this?
1 Answer Ken, the flow meter, [WR57X10069] can certainly effect the precise fill function. Some models have a set-up feature to allow you to program the fill amount using a measuring cup. Check your use and care manual as to the procedure. Read More...
Mt August 23, 2012 for Model Number PSCF3VGXAFWW My water dispenser is not working correctly anymore. It shoots out a quick stream of water and then goes to a very small drizzle (the digital readout still says how many oz it dispensed). I have replaced out the water valve AP3996264 and that did not fix the problem. Then based on advice from this forum I replaced the filter head assembly AP4297349. That did solve the problem for about 1 day (with the filter) and then today it went right back to the same problem. After the problem returned I put the filter bypass on but that did not fix the problem either. Any other thoughts on what could be causing this significant reduction in flow?
1 Answer Hello MT. Make sure the water tank or none of the lines are frozen. If not, you may have a bad flow meter WR57X10069 for the unit. Read More...
Mt August 06, 2012 for Model Number GE Profile PSCF3VGXAFWW My water dispenser has started acting up. It provides water at the normal flow for some period of time followed by a "clunk" at which point water will continue to dispense but the flow is significantly reduced. The point at which it goes from full flow to drizzle is not consistent. Sometimes I will get 20oz before this happens other times 4oz. Lately I have not been able to get more than 8oz before the problem occurs. I changed the filter and nothing changed. Any suggestions on what part this could be and how I can test it?
1 Answer MT, The most likely issue is the filter head assembly WR17X22072. You would want to install the bypass plug WR17X22064 and operate the dispenser for a few days, to see if the problem persists. Thanks Read More...
