Isabella August 01, 2017 I ordered the GE Door Panel WB55X10828 because it was broken. With the video I was able to take the door apart. But now I'm having problems inserting the glass into the new door panel? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Isabella, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can look up the exact door on your unit. This will enable us to give you pertinent information to assist in the reassembly. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Anna May 10, 2014 for Model Number JVM1631WH003 I'm trying to replace the outside frame on my microwave door. After much trouble I finally removed the door from the microwave now how do I take it apart to replace outside frame?
1 Answer Anna, To disassemble the door you will use a putty knife in between the inner and outer panel and pop the inner panel loose. Once this is out then you will remove the screws holding the inner glass frame in place in order to get the panel off. Read More...

Claudia September 06, 2011 for Model Number AP3994516 This is a follow up to my previous question. My mother's GE microwave is JVM1640WJ01. Can you clarify what is the "short out capacitor"? Since I have to give all these instructions to my elderly mother, do you have a diagram that I could use to fax this to her? thank you.
1 Answer Hi Claudia. The transformer, diode, capacitor, and magnetron are all considered "high voltage" and a life and death danger. You should consider letting a qualified trained technician diagnose the issue of the "NO-Heat". The question answered will be as such.... The Capacitor stores high voltage. You use a isolated needle nose pliers to remove the connectors on the capacitor. Then you take the pliers and "short- out" the capacitor terminals against itself. Doing this a few times one after another. This will discharge the capacitor so it is safe to test further with a test meter. Be safe and let us know if we can help further. Thank you. Read More...
Claudia September 04, 2011 for Model Number part # AP3994516 I need to send the door panel to my mother who lives in Puerto Rico. Can you tell me the instructions to give her in order for her to change the cracked GE door panel. If by any chance those instructions are in spanish, I would greatly apprecited. Thank you.
1 Answer Claudia, We don't have a spanish version of the manual available, but here you go : To Remove Door: 1. Remove power, top grille and short out capacitor. 2. Remove the 4 (2 on top & 2 on bottom) 5/16" head screws on door hinges and #2 phillips head screw on top. 3. Door will pull away from unit with the hinges attached to the door. To Remove Door Handle: With door open: 1. Remove inner door trim. 2. Remove door handle screws. You will need a stiff blade putty knife or screwdriver, to insert between the inner metal door panel, and the outer plastic frame. You will need to pry up and out on the plastic frame tabs, until they are dislodged from the metal frame, you'll need to do this all the way around the door. 4. When reinstalling door reverse procedure. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
