For Ge Pressure Switch (Part Number: OEM15974154)

Hello Jack, It could be a suspension issue or it could be a bad control board WH12X10468. You should check unit by running a drain and spin cycle and observe if it spins at full speed. If it continues to do the same thing then you would need to replace the control board. The control board tells the unit at what speed to spin and if with empty load the unit is still sensing a unbalanced load then the control is faulty.

Louie, try replacing the water inlet valve WH13X10023. A simple way to test to see if the valve is bad is to run the washer and unplug it, if it continues to fill with water the valve is bad. Hope this helps, thanks!

Pat, You'll need a multimeter TJMA-DMT3 to test the pressure switch circuits WH12X10522 once you have removed the top of the washer and disconnected the air dome tube from the pressure switch. You'll need to check for "open" circuits on the switch terminals once you remove the wires from the terminals to be tested. Red(20) to Yellow(20) , Yellow(14) to Orange(14) and Orange (14) to Red(16) should all be "open" circuits, with the washer empty and the air hose is disconnected from the switch. Here's some meter usage information if you should need it [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html].If the switch circuits check proper, and the fact you can't program a test mode, you'd need to consider a possible control board failure WH12X10355 . Thanks and Good Luck

Hello Jim. One of prongs could have shorted out inside the computer board internally. Also a kinked hose could cause the sensor to strain, no concrete reason on why it fails. Sorry.
