Brad J. July 14, 2015 for Model Number GE wbvh6240fww My GE washer would fill up with water and not drain and the cycle would pause. I cleaned the filter and notice that most of the time the pump would not try to run, but if it did try to run it would make a grinding noise and only drops would come out of the drain tube. I replaced the pump. I then tried to wash a load of clothes and the water pours into the tub and fills the tub way fuller than I've noticed before and then it pumps it out and pauses. I ran a diagnostic test and got the codes E22, E23, and E31. I ran the T06 water level control test and the water just fills up the tub and doesn't stop at the different levels. Would this indicate that I need to replace the pressure switch or is there another sensor that determines water level? Thanks
1 Answer Brad, Before you replace the pressure switch, you want to check and make sure you didn't damage or kink the air tube WH41X10129, WH41X10130. If there is an air leak due to a hole, tear or loose connection in the tube or air chamber, or if the tube is kinked or clogged the washer will over fill and produce the codes you mentioned. You may have dislodged or kinked something when you replaced the drain pump. Read More...
James March 27, 2014 for Model Number WCVH6800J1WW Plug washer in and turn water on. Water runs continually. Tested the resistance on the inlet valve...both sides +/-1300. I have taken off pressure hose and pushed air thru it. I did not see any debris. I disconnected the hose from the tub and blew into the tube. The pump kicked on. I have tried to run the diagnostics, but with the continual flow of water, it has made it impossible. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks
1 Answer Hello James. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit. Read More...
Robert March 11, 2014 for Model Number WCVH6800J1WW My washer stops at various points in the cycle. Test T02 shows error code 22. Test T06 gets to F level but not nl. Before nl the pump starts and tries to pump out while water is still coming in. Have to power off to stop it. Is it the Water Level Switch?
1 Answer Hello Robert, This sounds like a combination of the water valve WH13X10023 and the pressure switch WH12X10522. Read More...
Serpa March 09, 2014 for Model Number GFWN1100LOWW My washer is draining and refilling over and over again, sometimes for the whole night. What could be happening ?
1 Answer Hello Serpa, First make sure the drain line comes up as high as the top of the main top of the machine in case it is siphoning. If it is, the issue is most likely in the control WH12X10457. Read More...
Randy February 23, 2014 for Model Number WCHV6800J1WW Error code 22. Water is coming in to the machine but the t06 test begins with an E but f and nl never display. When it reaches full it pumps out and shuts off. In normal operation it fills and drains but never goes into agitate. It just shuts off. Is the pressure switch my problem?
1 Answer Hello Randy, The fault code 22 indicates fill problems and the t06 is referring to the pressure switch as a component in need of testing. You need to make sure the hose that attaches to the pressure switch is clear back to the tub. If you pull the tech sheet from the unit it advises the following: • Ensure manual water valves are fully open. • Check if water strainers on solenoid valve assembly are clogged. • Check for obstructions inside inlet water hoses. • Ensure solenoid valves do not leak when the valves are de-energized and the washer is powered down. • Measure coil resistance for both valves; if outside range (1000–1250 ohms at room temp.), replace solenoid valve assembly. IF ABOVE STEPS DO NOT CLEAR THE PROBLEM, OR FOR ERROR CODE 23: • Replace solenoid valve assembly. Read More...
Robert December 14, 2013 for Model Number GE WCVH6260FWW I just replace the control panel for a different reason. Now the washer will not spin the clothes dry. When the cycle is done the clothes are still really wet. I ran a rinse & spin cycle and watched it fill with water and drain the water out in 30 seconds. After a couple minutes of a slow spin it ran the spin at full speed.
1 Answer Hello Robert. Make sure the air dome on the tub is clear and the pump is working properly on the unit. Either will cause the no spin issue. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Jhnnyv. No, you do not need to adjust for more water. This can cause the unit to flood. Read More...
Stew July 22, 2013 for Model Number WBVH5200J3WW I go into test mode t02 and get an E22. Continue test mode to t08 and t09 nothing happens. In normal operations only a few of the positions will start to work but when it goes into rinse and spin th washer just stops or goes into idle. Trouble shooting book suggests replacing the Solenoid Water Valve. Where is this located or is it called by a different name?
1 Answer Stew, This is the water valve WH13X10029 which is located at the back of the unit that your water supply hoses connect to. To access the valve you would remove the top of the washer by removing the screws holding it in place at the back top Read More...
Sandy June 12, 2013 for Model Number WCVH6260FWW GE Front Loader Washer is overflowing on a full load but not a half load. I ran test t06 and on the last step it kept filling. I wasn’t sure when I should intervene and stop the test. I waited until water started leaking out into the pan and I eventually I did stop the test. Does this sound like a pressure switch problem?
1 Answer Hello Sandy. It sounds like the pressure switch or the pressure hose is bad. Make sure the air dome on the side of the unit is not clogged. Read More...
Rick December 26, 2012 for Model Number wcvh6260 My washer has a small amount of water in it. Would that trigger the water level switch not to allow water in the washer?
1 Answer Hello Rick. Only if the water is enough to pop the diaphragm inside the switch and cut the switch off. Try draining the water and see if the unit then fills. Read More...
