Bill, it is certainly possible that the motor has failed. However, you may want to check the belt and the pulley to ensure that they are in good condition, and that the belt does not have excessive wear nor the pulley have excessive play. The pulley can sometimes come loose and not properly seat causing the unit to not spin properly, and if the belt has excessive wear or play, it can slip and not allow the unit to spin properly.

Dann, your washer uses an automatic temperature control, this measures the temperature of the water coming into the tub, if it is too hot, it will add cold water to get the water to a certain pre-programmed temperature. It may cycle the hot and cold back and forth during the fill cycle until the exact temperature is reached.

Mike, With the unit not agitating or spinning the first thing you will want to check is the lid switch and the magnet on the lid for the lid switch to make sure that they are good.

Hunter D for Model Number WLE6000B2WW

Hey, so I replaced the inlet valve for my hoses thinking they were having trouble switching between hot and cold. My issue is that I can set the washer to "Cold Cold" and it'll run cold for the initial fill up and then runs completely hot water for the entire rinse cycle. Any temperature setting I set it on works as intended for the first initial fill up, but every fill up from there on is a fully hot (scalding might I add) temperature . Would I start here with this part or is it obviously another problem such as the control boards behind the knobs?
