1 Answer Linda, Check to make sure that there are no drawers or shelving that is pushed out too far and not allowing the door to close. Also, check to make sure that there is no ice on the floor of the freezer which could cause the door to not close properly. Me May 24, 2020 I have a GE Monogram side by side refrigerator. I doesn’t have a water or ice dispenser but it has a water filtration cartridge in the main part of the refrigerator ( the refrigerator is not hooked up to water (that I know of). Is there any harm in removing the cartridge so it doesn’t take up space in my refrigerator? Or is there some reason I would need to leave it? When I do pull it out there does seem to be water in it.

If your old water filter looks exactly like the new one just screw it in. If you have the metal canister or totally different locking base, you'll need to install the adapter p/n AP2615702.
