1 Answer Frank, water should come out of the dispenser shortly after engaging. However, air would be released first as the air from inside of the filter would have to be removed before a steady stream of water will come out (generally around 2 gallons of water would need to be dispensed before all the air is removed). 1 Answer Andrea, Other than turning off the water supply, to stop the leak, and turning off the ice maker(lever on the bottom of the side of the control head) to insure it doesn't accidentally energize and starts to operate, you wouldn't need to do anything else, and the refrigerator should work normally.
