Bob November 05, 2017 for Model Number DDE0580GBL Lint keeps building up in door panel and all around edges of door how can I seal it off so lint is not everywhere
1 Answer Bob, This issue would most likely be an issue with the door seal if there is lint getting around the edges of the door as the lint is trying to escape part the door panel. Read More...
Cody September 01, 2016 for Model Number DBXR463ED2WW Need a felt seal for my dryer, part for mine no longer available.
Steve July 10, 2016 for Model Number Hotpoint electric dryer This is about the dryer lint filter... I'd like to put some kind of gasket on the back of this filter to seal it better. I have the filter placed correctly, but there still seems to be a lot of lint getting past it. Any ideas? Thanks.
1 Answer Steve, We do not have a seal that you could use for this but it is not uncommon for there to be lint getting past the filter. The filter will catch a majority of it but will not collect it all, especially with heavy lint giving type items like cottons. Read More...
Jack March 15, 2016 for Model Number gtdp200ef4ws i installed a new felt gasket on the door panel but the machine sngged it and ripped it out. this has happened twice now. I looked closely at all parts while changing this gasket and saw nothing on the drum that would catch this felt gasket. any sugestions. Thanks Jack
1 Answer Hello Jack. The seal above does not go anywhere where the drum can touch it. It goes on the inside of the air duct assembly in the unit. If you look at the 2nd photo on this parts page WE14X25080 you will see the seal. It is the black strip on the outside of the air duct in this photo. Read More...

Mark Q. December 04, 2014 for Model Number dbsr453ebww My dryer makes noise when I start the drying cycle. It isn't a grinding noise but more like a constant rubbing sound. A repairman looked at it and told me that it needed a front gasket. I did not have him fix it since he/they did such a poor job on my icemaker. Anyway, is this a reasonable diagnosis of my problem or is there something else it could be? The dryer works fine other than the noise.
1 Answer Hello Mark, The front drum bearing and slides WE49X20697 are common failure of this design. Note that the white slides go to the outside and the green slides go beside one another in the center. Read More...
