For Ge Oven Temperature Sensor Assembly (Part Number: OEM17372388)

Jacquelyn, You would want to test the sensor to make sure that it is good. You can test for 1090 ohms at the sensor. If the sensor is good then check the wiring between the board and the sensor. If the wiring is good, you will want to check the oven bake element to make sure that it is good. It should have a resistance reading of between 15 and 25 ohms of resistance. If the element is good then this will be a control board issue.

Michelle, the error F20 is going to indicate a thermal runaway failure in the upper oven. This could be from a bake WB44X21667 or broil WB44X48685 element being grounded out, the oven sensor WB21X10165 improperly measuring temperature (it should measure around 1100 Ohms at room temperature), or a failure in the oven control WB27X25351.

Larry, 1. Lower oven light stays on: Check that the door is closing completely and that the door switch is functioning. 2. Lower oven heats only to 140 deg: Use a multimeter to determine if the bake element is receiving 240vac and that the element is good, and check the resistance of the oven sensor for approximately 1080O at room temperature.

Jason, with the power supply to the appliance removed and the sensor WB21X10165 disconnected, the sensor would need to be tested for resistance. At room temperature, it should measure 1100 Ohms. With a thermometer next to the sensor, a hair dryer can be used to heat the sensor up and it should increase by 2 Ohms for every 1°F it heats up. If the sensor measures good, the main control WB27X25322 would be the cause of failure. If the sensor does not test good, the sensor would need to be replaced.
