Jeff for Model Number wpsr3100w0ww

My washing machine is leaking from the bottom right in the middle where the transmission goes into the tub so my guess is it must be the gasket. Is it worth fixing or and does the transmission get damaged from the water dripping on it? I saw the video on how to replace the gasket and I can do it but just the Spanner wrench alone is $53.45 or should I just buy a new h e machine and cut my loses. The machine is about 8 years old and most of the time it only get used by me except when my mom and dad visit.. thanks Jeff

Jeff, You could get the spanner wrench part number TB123B and the tub seal WH02X10383 and get the unit back up and running. The transmission would not be damaged by leaking water as the parts are encased and water cannot get inside the transmission.

Susi, The 2600 watt, 8" top burner element you need is WP660533 , based on the model number you supplied. The 2100 watt element you purchased will work, but expect slightly longer cooking times than you're used to, due to the lower wattage. Thanks and Good Luck
