Oilman July 10, 2011 for Model Number JBC26ON1AD I am replacing the burner receptacle on this stove GE Model # JBC26ON1AD and would like to know how to raise (lift) the top for access.
1 Answer Hello Oilman. According tot he manufacture, you do not need to raise the top at replace the receptacle WB17X5113. You will need to disconnect the power, then remove the element from the cooktop. Next remove the drip bowl and remove the screw (on certain models) securing the receptacle in place. Pull the receptacle out enough to access the wires. Cut the wires to the old receptacle and splice in the new receptacle. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
