Doug December 20, 2023 for Model Number JV348L2SS Doesn't the GE Light Switch (WB24X10130) come with a nut?
Aaron May 20, 2022 for Model Number Ventline Range Hood #PR-4 I have an old range hood with a defective rotary switch to control both the light and fan. It works as a "1-2-Both-Off" switch. Is this switch the right one to control both light and fan? The fan is only one speed, and the light is only one intensity
Ronald February 28, 2022 for Model Number (J)? 330 003AD, serial #ML881407G (GE range vent hood Like another questioner, I have a General Electric Deluxe30 range vent hood. The information I provided was taken off of a metal plate riveted to the back of the hood(it says 2.5A). The hood has two metal pushbuttons on the top; one for the light(on normal, dim, off) and one for the fan (on high, low speed, off) The light switch no longer works properly, but I should probably replace both. Whatever appliance Parts place I go to (I guess you all have the same documents) the model # I enter only comes up as a microwave or maybe a dishwasher. This was probably built the same year as my townhouse, 1982. It's probably the original vent hood. I bought from the original owners five years later.I'm on my third G.E. range/oven so don't have a model # for the original range. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Ronald, The fan switch and light switch on this model were the same part number. The part number is WB24X170 but has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...

The light switch has a high and low setting. The low setting works fine, go to high it comes on but goes off. Keep trying it and it eventually will work. It is push button, with the fan button beside it as well. Fan works fine. Need replacement part/part number if possible. Thanks!

Rich December 15, 2015 for Model Number ds1308 I ordered a light switch for the hood but this switch is wired different than the original. Which slot does the hot terminal go in? They are labeled L 1 2 3 4
1 Answer Hello Rich, L is normally the "line" which is "hot". The other numbers are the different speeds so you will have to try them for the high, medium, low, etc. You should be able to try each to determine which is which. Read More...

Georgina W. June 24, 2012 for Model Number JV347H1WW Hi, I ordered the switch I need: GE Light Switch, (Part Number: AP3754330). How on earth do I remove the wires? I tried pulling one out but did not force it. Obviously, I would put them back in the same position as the original switch. Do I need to also kill the circuit breaker or just turn off the light? I have pliers but didn't force them out. Should I just really yank? Once I get them out, do I just push them back in the holes? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Georgina, These are some strange ones indeed. Make sure the power is off (kill the breaker definitely), and using either a small screwdriver or an icepick, press in on the brass beside the wire. This will release the wire. If the switch is ever to be reused, be sure not to press any harder than it takes to release the wire as it will spring the tabs that hold the wire in place. To replace the wires, you simply push them in. Don't push them in further than the wire is stripped! Read More...
