Bobby July 15, 2012 for Model Number FWHDSR209G2WW If you disconnect the hose to the pressure switch, should you be able to blow air thru it to check it? I tried and cannot blow any air thru the hose, from where it connects to pressure switch.
1 Answer Hello Bobby, If you remove the hose from the pressure switch, you should be able to blow through the hose and hear the air coming into the tub. If you cannot blow through it, there is a clog that will cause the unit to overflow. The pressure from the tub will never reach the pressure switch and never turn the water off. Read More...
Larry June 26, 2012 for Model Number WJRR4170G1WW Just installed a new pressure (WH12X10076) switch and water still overflows. Cleaned a verified the air tube has no holes. There is a little screw on the pressure switch. Would this be for fine tuning the water height? Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Larry! It sounds like the water inlet valve is defective on your unit and needs to be replaced. Your part number is WH13X10027. Thanks! Read More...
Mike L. March 13, 2012 for Model Number WWA5600GNLWH My GE washer overfills the tub. I checked the valve and it works properly; when you turn the washer off the water stops. The hose to the pressure switch is clear so it appears the pressure switch itself is bad, however its been discontinued for my model (and very expensive even if it was available!). I'm wondering if I can use a later switch like the AP2045906? It appears to have a different load selection switch on it, but this washer only has to last me about a year and I can make do with a makeshift switch. Any reason this switch would not work?
1 Answer Mike, the manufacturer does not offer any cross references or replacements for your discontinued pressure switch WH12X665. We can not verify that the pressure switch listed as part number WH12X10076 will work on your product. You may try the part and return it if for any reason it will not work on your product. You may use our repair forum for any installation help. Here are the links to our return policy and our repair forum for you to view. Thanks! Marx December 05, 2011 for Model Number whdsr209daww What will damage the pressure switch, hot water, because this is the second replacement? What else can be?

Karl July 05, 2011 for Model Number WCSR4170daww The 2nd rinse option does not fill up with water. It just agitates. What would cause the other rinse cycle to work and not the second one?
1 Answer Hi Karl. The X-tra rinse switch part # is WH12X10499. If you suspect the water valve does not allow cold water rinse then this part # is WH13X10024. Hope this helps. Thank you. Read More...
Sonny L. July 03, 2011 for Model Number wjrr4170e4ww My washer will not drain. I just replaced pressure switch, still didn't solve spin/drain problem.
1 Answer Hello Sonny. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the drain pump WH23X10030. If there is power there, but the pump does not drain, you will need to replace the pump. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Rich June 10, 2011 for Model Number WHDSR315D0WW This is our 3rd washer in 9 years that conintually overflows. The water will not shut off. It happens sparatically and floods out basement. Any ideas? We blew into the pressure tube and it made a clicking noise.

Morris M. May 15, 2011 for Model Number WJSR4160GOWW What part does the timer dial, AP399525, attach to? The plastic teeth that the timer dial locks with, so that the dial can be turned are worn and I have to turn the control knob assembly to start the new washing cycle because the timer dial doesn't engage and turn it.
1 Answer Hello Morris. The dial itself attaches to the control knob. There are two parts with "teeth" that interlock. The Control knob assembly WH01X10310 and the timer itself WH12X10348. The dial is just the part with the arrow. The knob is responsible for locking into the timer and turning it. I hope this helps. Read More...
