This water level pressure switch monitors tub water height via air pressure and signals the controls to stop filling and move the cycle forward, helping prevent overfilling or underfilling for accurate load-size operation.

  • Detects water level through the attached air hose and internal diaphragm contacts
  • Signals the control to close inlet valves at the selected level and allows agitation/spin only when safe
  • Common symptoms: continuous filling/overfilling, stops filling too early/low water level, or no agitate/spin because the tub is sensed as "full"
  • May cause inconsistent or incorrect water levels across settings
What's included: 1 pressure switch Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and turn off water supply before servicing
  • Note or photograph wire positions and transfer to the new switch one-for-one
  • Inspect the pressure hose for cracks, kinks, or blockages; ensure an airtight fit on the switch port
  • Mount securely in the original location and test with a small load to verify proper fill and operation

For Ge Water Level Pressure Switch (Washer) (Part Number: OEM6137727)

Victor, First check the lid switch for operation and the proper circuit. If the washer will fill, wash and drain but not spin, check and/or replace the timer. If the washer doesn't drain or spin, first check the drain pump, then check the water level switch and tube. The washer has to drain and the switch reset to "empty", then the washer can spin. Thanks,

John, You will want to check the motor to see if there is power getting to the motor when in the spin cycle. If there is no power then the timer would be the issue. If there is power and the motor will turn with no belt on then this would be a brake that is bad on the transmission.

Marsha A. for Model Number WLDSR416F0WC

I have taken off the front panel to get to the water level pressure switch. But since you have suggested checking the water pressure switch hose for clogs first, how do I get to hose to check for clogs? Of course I can see the top part of it that is attached to the switch but how do I expose the rest of it. I think it might be clogged because when I try to let the water fill I do not see any water in the hose coming to the switch to activate it. Thanks.

Hello Marsha. Just pull the hose off the pressure switch and blow through it. If it is clogged you will feel them in the hose.

Rick, If the unit is overfilling, you will want to check the pressure hose and make sure that it is not clogged. If not clogged then the pressure switch is a likely cause for the issue. You can unplug the unit and see if the water continues to flow in. If it does and you have to shut the supply off then the issue would be the water valve.

Barry, Based on the issue with the unit overflowing during the spin cycle, you will want to make sure that the unit is not getting off balance, check the hoses to make sure that they are not leaking and if all checks ok then the pressure switch would most likely be the issue.

Hello Jay, There should only be the resistance of the small hose. Other than that it should be open. This is, of course, blowing back toward the tub.

Angela, The selector knob would be the part that would cause you to have to turn the back dial behind it. The part number for the timer knob is WH01X10310.
