For Ge Dryer Timer (Part Number: OEM18097893)

John, The only thing that would cause a buzzing noise in this unit will be the end of cycle signal in which it will sound at the end of the cycle if there is a cooling down stage with a wrinkle release.

James for Model Number GTD33EASK0WW

My year and two month old dryer (two months after end of warranty) still does not heat up and does not advance. I thought it was the timer and this website thought it was as well, so I bought WE04X25280. I receive the timer and it has one extra terminal than my old timer. The wring diagram for the part has A B C T X S. The new one has an F terminal. So I hooked up the new timer except the F terminal (because there are no wires to go to it), and the timed dry buzz's and shuts off, but every other cycle does not. And every cycle still does not heat up. Any thoughts?

James, it would be recommended that the terminal block is tested to ensure that 240VAC is being received by the dryer. If there is not 240VAC going to the dryer, it can impact the operation of the heater and the cycles. If there is 240VAC, the next step would be to test the inlet thermostat and the element to identify if there may be a failed component. With the dryer unplugged, the safety inlet thermostat WE04X25201, control thermostat WE4M137, and hi-limit thermostat WE04X26139 would all be tested for continuity. The coils of the element WE11X21156 would be tested for resistance. The inner coils should read between 20.71 to 22.89O and the outer coils should measure within the same range.

James, It sounds like a timer but if you have a meter you could check for power to the timer motor. If it has power and not advancing then it would be the timer. The timer part number is WE04X25280
