John L Jacksonville , FL June 11, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Gas Dryer GTD33PASK0WW Dryer selector knob and timer broken The selector knob and timer quit working on our GE dryer. Used a multimeter and set to Ohms to check for continuity. Tested each part under backsplash (must remove wires at each point of contact to get an accurate reading). Continuity for the timer was reading infinite (should read zero if part is good). Replaced timer. BUT! The old knob for the part is not compatible with the new timer part. Ordered new knob which fits the new timer part. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
