Vent driver assembly operates the dryer vent door to manage airflow during operation. Replacing a faulty driver restores proper vent door movement, improving exhaust flow and helping prevent backdrafts. What it does:

  • Moves and positions the vent/duct door so exhaust can exit when the appliance runs
  • Retracts/closes the vent door when the appliance stops to limit backdrafts
  • Common symptoms: vent door won't open or close, reduced exhaust airflow, or visible vent door sticking
  • Interfaces with the vent door linkage and the appliance wiring harness to receive control signals
What's included: One vent driver assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair to avoid shock or injury
  • Basic hand tools are typically required; support the vent door assembly during removal/installation
  • Handle wiring connectors and plastic components carefully to avoid damage
  • Follow the appliance's service manual or OEM instructions for exact steps and torque/spec guidance
