Tomi May 14, 2013 for Model Number WM0532HW I have LG model WM0532HW and we bought a WDP4W pedestal for it from Home Depot. When the installers came, they said it needs some kind of additional kit to be able to install. Is this kit (AAA30793428)the correct one? That is the only one I can find... Or do I REALLY need any kit to begin with...? The guy at HD is of no help, so now I have the pedestal just sitting in the box in my garage and I would like to put it to use. Thank you!

Sharpie March 21, 2013 for Model Number AAA30793428 So, for this adapter kit to be used with a pre-2007 LG washer or dryer, do these adhesive plates replace the plastic holders that come with the WDP4W pedestal or do I still need to use those 4 plastic holders with the t-clips? Seems like I wouldn't need them since I don't think my old washer and dryer have the correct mounting holes for these holders. Thanks!

1 Answer Hello Gordon. Here is the instruction from the manufacture. Hope this helps. LG has released a pedestal adaptation kit. This will allow older units, which previously used a mounting bracket installation method, to be secured to a new pedestal that uses the t-clip installation method. Two brackets will be placed on the left side of the unit and two on the right side of the unit. The adaptation kit contains mounting brackets and self-tapping screws. 1. Remove the paper on the adhesive and place on the unit. The adhesive part will adhere to the washer/dryer. 2. The brackets can screw into the pedestal. They come with “Self-Tapping” Screws. This means that the screws can go into and through the metal on the sides of the pedestal. They will create their own thread to secure to the pedestal.
