Jeffrey P Fitzwilliam , NH January 02, 2015 New dryer installed on old pedestal and previous holding plates were unusable Because of the design of the plates holding my LG dryer on it's pedestal (screws on the pedestal and two face tape on the dryer end of the plates), I needed to order a set of replacement plates. The installation was straight forward for the most part. First I would bend back a small corner of the protective cover on the two face tape to make it easy to remove. Then I would attach the plate to the pedestal using the required 2 screws started in the associated holes, only starting the screws. Once the screws were in place, I removed the protective covering from the two face tape and tightened the screws. The only issue I had was when the dryer was replaced by the installers, they broke off one of the screws in the hole. i used a drill bit slightly smaller than the provided screws to drill a new hole in the plate and pedestal to attach it. Eugene G Westbrook , ME May 03, 2015 Bought used platforms that were missing safety brackets Bought direct fitments brackets to keep washer and dryer from falling off of the pedestal if loads are unbalanced. Such an easy fix/solution and very inexpensive to boot. Self-adhesive backing allows the brackets to hold firm along with the provided screws. Was a 5 minute job. Ashley D The Woodlands , TX January 27, 2019 Appliance: Model LGWDP3W PEDESTAL WITH LGWM3700WHA WASHER I had an existing old LG WDP3W pedestal and wanted to reuse it with my new LG washer the delivery folks said it couldn't be used as the brackets became deformed once removed The only difficult part of this was to actually place the washer on top of the LG WDP3W pedestal. Once that was done, sticking and screwing these brackets on was a pieces of cake.
