1 Answer Bobby, there is a direct short somewhere in the electrical system. Check your incoming voltage to make sure it is 120 volts. Check all wires to make sure nothing is broken or frayed. Read More...
Todd June 14, 2018 for Model Number WTW57ESVW0 I heard a zapping noise coming from under the control panel of my washer. It sounds like it's coming from my rfi filter. Is this a common thing and if so is it an easy fix?
1 Answer Todd, Yes the repair would be easy and you would just need to replace the noise filter on the unit. Read More...
Rlm April 23, 2018 for Model Number WM3431HS Have a 5 year old combo washer/dryer. Have over time replaced many parts. Replaced Pcb main power board 6 months ago. Unit died, no warning. dead. Just found the noise filter assy pretty well fried. Replacement part is still available but LG has stopped production of the Pub boards. I'm assuming that whatever caused the noise filter to fail would also impact the Pcb board. Or should I risk buying the noise filter and hope that the main board is still good???? Thanks
1 Answer Hello RLM. You will not know until you replace the noise filter. It is possible the main board is okay. Thank you. Read More...
Colin H March 26, 2018 for Model Number Wm3670hwa Checking the noise filter I have 120 in, 120 on one output, 60v on another and 0v on the third. What confuses me is the 60v output is on the middle lug which is hooked directly to ground. I ordered a new control board but don't want to install until I know this is correct. I don't think I should have 60v on ground wire?
1 Answer Colin, If you go from the black to the white then there should be 120 vac. If there is not 120 vac then this will be an issue with the noise filter. Read More...
Greg March 06, 2018 for Model Number LDF6920ST There is no indication of power to the control buttons. There is 120 power at the connection box and to the noise filter. If the noise filter failed does it completely disrupt the power supply to the door controls?
1 Answer Greg, If the noise filer were to fail then it will cause there to be no power to the control board. For this issue the most likely cause will be a faulty control panel with no buttons working on the display. Read More...
Jonathan October 27, 2017 for Model Number LDF6920ST My dishwasher will run for a while then stop. When I power it back up is shows a PF code. I can then select a cycle again but it will not complete the cycle and shut off again, when I power it back up it shows PF again. What could be causing the machine to lose power and then restore it again? Could the noise filter assembly be overheating causing this? Does it have that ability to then cool down and provide power again or is it the electronic control board more than likely the cause? I cannot see to find any fuses or anything that would cause this in the system aside from those two items potentially.
1 Answer Hello Jonathan, The most common cause of this complaint is a loose or burned wire nut in the power connection box behind the kick panel. It can also be caused by a failing breaker or poor connection in the power supply to the dishwasher. The PF code is the indication of a power failure to the board, so the issue will be a poor connection between home electrical power supply and the control board. Read More...

Elliotte June 09, 2017 for Model Number wf0500nce How do I test the main control board on my Samsung front load washer to see if it is the reason the washer is not turning on (no lights, no life)? I've read somewhere here to use a multi meter to see if there is 120Vac at the board and if so then the board needs to be replaced. How can I do that on my washer? Where on the board do I check for voltage?
1 Answer Hello Elliotte, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to please post a new question including the verified model number from the units' I.D. tag since it will not come up for us as a valid model number. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
