Bill for Model Number WM2016CW I have an LG washer that stops mid-cycle. I replaced the Main PCB. Removed this board and found that the conductors coming from the control panel were frayed so I soldered these back together and reinstalled. The red LED light on the board lights up but still do not get the machine to turn on. Tested the fuse on the PCB and tested for continuity. Went to the noise filter, this is one item I have a question on. I tested the noise filter and have 120 going into the filter. I have 120 to ground on the brown wire, 0 on the green to ground and 0 on the blue wire to ground. Should I read 120 on the blue that is also going to the main board? Since the wire looked to be damaged from some serious vibration would this have caused damage to the control panel? Thanks
Answer Hello Bill, The brown is the hot wire, the blue is neutral, and the green is ground. You should only read 120Vac on the brown wire from the noise filter. It is possible for damage to be incurred on the main board in the instance you described. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, October 16, 2018
