The Drain Hose Assembly is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. This crucial component ensures the effective expulsion of used water from the dishwasher to the home's drainage system.

Causes of a bad drain hose assembly often include clogging due to food particles and debris, which can obstruct water flow. Additionally, physical damage like cracks or splits from wear or improper installation can compromise the hose's integrity, leading to leaks or backups.

Symptoms of a faulty drain hose assembly include:

  • Water leaking from beneath the dishwasher.
  • Failure to fully drain water at the end of a cycle, leaving residue and odors.
  • Visible signs of wear or damage to the hose.

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Perry, That piece just prevents water from flowing back into the dishwasher. With a good air gap on the drain line under the sink you should be fine.

David A for Model Number LG Dishwasher LDF7561ST

I have a LG model LDF7561ST dishwasher that has a crack in the drain hose. I have been told the replacement part is AEM69493808 for the drain hose assembly. Shipping apparently would take several weeks. Locally, I can find the LG drain hose AEM69493807. Note the 07 vs. 08 ending. The supplier says it can't be returned if I purchased it and it didn't fit. They don't know the difference. QUESTION - What is the difference between AEM69493808 and AEM69493807 and can the AEM69493807 be substituted? Thanks.

David, In looking at these 2 parts there is no noticeable difference that we can tell. The only difference may be the connection points may be larger on one than the other but cannot tell if it is or not.

Elvis, There are 2 ways that you could do this. You could get an adjustable clamp to put on the hose to tighten it more. The other thing you could do is to get a new guide assembly which will have the correct nipple on it for this hose.
