Tom August 16, 2022 The black hose on the drain is too big for my dishwasher. It looks like the barb on the dishwasher is 1/4” OD. The hose looks like it’s 3/8” ID. Do they have different size black vent hoses? Should I get a barbed reducer and use a short piece of 1/4” I d hose?

Perry October 17, 2020 for Model Number LDS4821ST When removing drain hose from Dishwasher I notice a black rubber piece came out. Its round and is ~ 3/8 inch in diameter. It has the number 11 in the center. It has a ridge on both sides. Do I need it ? Is there a particular way it goes in? What's it purpose?
1 Answer Perry, That piece just prevents water from flowing back into the dishwasher. With a good air gap on the drain line under the sink you should be fine. Read More...

David A December 05, 2017 for Model Number LG Dishwasher LDF7561ST I have a LG model LDF7561ST dishwasher that has a crack in the drain hose. I have been told the replacement part is AEM69493808 for the drain hose assembly. Shipping apparently would take several weeks. Locally, I can find the LG drain hose AEM69493807. Note the 07 vs. 08 ending. The supplier says it can't be returned if I purchased it and it didn't fit. They don't know the difference. QUESTION - What is the difference between AEM69493808 and AEM69493807 and can the AEM69493807 be substituted? Thanks.
1 Answer David, In looking at these 2 parts there is no noticeable difference that we can tell. The only difference may be the connection points may be larger on one than the other but cannot tell if it is or not. Read More...

1 Answer Elvis, There are 2 ways that you could do this. You could get an adjustable clamp to put on the hose to tighten it more. The other thing you could do is to get a new guide assembly which will have the correct nipple on it for this hose. Read More...
