Peter July 17, 2013 for Model Number LG LFX25950TT Our ice maker produces ice but now doesn't stop producing it -- causing the bin to overflow. I've tried cycling the power on and off, and also reset the ice maker by holding the cube size button until the fingers move through a full cycle. Its not clear to me what the various positions of the feeler arm are supposed to be at various points (i.e. what tells the ice maker to stop making ice?) It usually sits horizontal and I've noticed it feels quite loose when moving gently around. Is there anything else I can do to adjust or am I stuck replacing the whole ice maker assembly?

Peanut June 22, 2013 for Model Number LSC27931 The ice maker is making ice, hower it will not discharge the ice either in cube or crushed form. I have taken apart the ice maker, nothing is jammed. 1 Answer Hello Ken, I would check to see if the fill tube is frozen. With a frozen fill tube the icemaker will cycle but not put water into icemaker. If the fill tube checks ok then you will want to test the water valve to make sure it is getting 120vac when the icemaker calls for water. If you are getting 120 vac but not getting water then you need to replace water valve. If you are not getting 120 vac then you need to check your icemaker to ensure you the icemaker is sending 120vac to the water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
