Chris, There is not a thermostat for the ice compartment. You will want to make sure that the ice fan is running by pushing the light switch and feeling for air coming out of the top hole on the left wall with the left door of the unit open. If there is no air then double check to make sure that the icemaker is in the on position. If the icemaker is off it will cause the ice fan from coming on.

Hello Dale. It sounds like the water valve may not be opening all the way or the icemaker is bad in the unit. Either can cause this issue. 3 to 5 seconds is a normal fill time.

Nancy, You will want to check the dispenser door to make sure that the door is not staying open which will cause warm air to get into the ice compartment and melt the ice. Check the temperature in the freezer to make sure that the unit is getting down to 0 degrees. If the temp in the freezer is not cold enough then this will also cause the issue.

Hello Rick. It sounds like the unit is too cold and is cycling early. You want it to be 0 to 5°. If it is, then replace the icemaker in the unit.

Konichi for Model Number LG LFX25960ST

Replaced ice maker with 2 different units, but ice still has to be manually ejected each time by holding reset button down and forcing unit to recycle manually. Have set freezer temperature to -6 F on door panel, so temperature should be low enough to trigger unit to eject ice once solid, but it's still not happening. Any idea what else I can try to get the ice maker to automatically eject ice when water becomes frozen solid, since 2 new units couldn't have a bad motor or timer? I even get the same results when I put the old unit back in, now that I know how to force unit to recycle.

Larry for Model Number LG LFX25961AL

Our LG refrigerator ice maker has stopped working. We changed the water filter and since then no ice has been made. Not sure if this is related or just a fluke. Previously our water dispenser had very low water pressure and since the filter change the pressure has increased - its almost as if the water pressure has mover to the water dispenser and none to the ice maker. Again, this could be just a fluke. Could you give me some ideas as to what I should do? Thanks!

Larry, It may just be a coincidence that this issue happened at the same time that the filter was replaced. You will want to check to make sure that there is power getting to the water valve when the icemaker is cycled. If there is voltage getting to the valve then the issue will be a faulty valve. If no power then the icemaker would be the issue. The valve that needs to be tested is located in the door behind the small shelf that is removable.
