Hello Max. Make sure the icemaker is turned on and the temp is 0 to 5°. If so, then the new step would be the board. Thanks.

Mina, For this issue it would most likely be caused by a faulty icemaker with the icemaker not working after a power surge.

Hello Gail, You will first need to check the operating temperature of the unit with a freezer thermometer. The icemaker has to achieve 20°F to cycle. If this is occurring check for water in the tray. If the tray is full and the temperature is sufficient, replace the icemaker AEQ36756901.

The ice maker works fine. The refrigerator water inlet valve went bad, so we have lived with poor water pressure for about a year. During this time we lost the water line cover for the ice maker but never noticed. Now that the inlet valve has been replaced, the water pressure is so great that when the water fills the ice maker, water splashes all over because it is missing the plastic cover where the water comes in. Are you able to order that little piece of plastic separately, or do you need to order the complete ice maker assembly kit.

1 Answer

Greg, The plastic cover is not available as a separate part and you would need to get the icemaker assembly for this.

Hello Jim. Maybe the freezer is to cold. It should be 0 to 5°. If it is too cold, it can cause the fill tube to freeze up. Also, make sure the water pressure coming to the refrigerator is good and not to low.

Dale, The adjustment that shows small medium or large is the only adjustment on the icemaker. It sounds like you may have low water pressure getting to the valve or the valve is faulty. Check the dispenser to see if it is flowing slowly, should fill 8 ounces within about 15 sec. If it does not fill properly then the issue will be a water filter that may need changed. If it does fill properly then will most likely be the water valve that is the issue.
