For Lg Icemaker (14 Cube) (Part Number: OEM17027868)

Mark, it would be recommended that the ice maker be inspected for cracks in the tray. If there is a crack, the ice maker assembly would need to be replaced. If not, the fill tube would need to be inspected to identify if the water was leaking by the valve AJU74532703.

Raul for Model Number 795.71036.010

I'm in the process of ordering an ice maker (PN:AEQ72910409) and watched your installation video in preparation for the install. I saw the following comment from another viewer: "We replaced our ice maker part # AEQ73110203 yesterday according to your instructions. 20 hours later there is ice in the trays, but the trays have not dropped the ice into the bin, which was the original problem that we bought a new ice maker for!! HELP!!" This is my situation with my current ice maker, after reading this comment I'm hesitant to buy a new ice maker and be in the same situation as the other viewer commented. Is there something else that may be causing the ice not to drop in the bin? Please provide feedback.

Hello Raul, check the ice maker is turned on, fresh food doors closed, the ice maker has to reach a temp of 0 deg sensed by the main control board before it starts a harvest cycle, this temp is provided by the blower motor located in the freezer on the left side, it blows freezer temp air through the ducting into the freezer area.

Fred, it would be recommended that the freezer temperature is verified with a thermometer to ensure it is reaching less than 0°F as both ice makers will not harvest if they are not at 0°F or lower.

Scott, WIth the icemaker not dumping ice, this would most likely be a faulty control board since the icemaker is new.

Greg, if the ice maker section is reaching 0°F, and there is not a broken or bare wire at the door hinge, the most likely failure would indeed be the ice maker AEQ73110210. It would be unlikely that the sensor has failed, rather, it would most likely be the control in the ice maker.

John for Model Number LG LFX31945ST/07

The ice maker on my LG refrigerator, LFX31945ST-ASTCNA7, which may also be LG LFX31945ST/07 jammed and a piece broke off. The original model number on the ice maker is AEQ73110203. I have found that part AEQ72910408 is also the same part but was replaced with AEQ73110205 (diagram number 600A). The problem I have is that the connectors do not match with the ones that are in the ice maker housing. It has one connector with 3 wires and the other has 10 with two of those going to the on/off switch on the assembly. This should be something simple to replace and should not require a repair person to do it. So, then what is the correct assembly to buy or do I need to replace the entire assembly (diagram number 612A)?

Hello Jan, the manufacturer has substituted ice maker (AEQ73110205) AEQ73110205 for the original ice maker that came with your model. It will fit and work correctly in your model, the original ice maker is no longer available.
