For Lg Icemaker (14 Cube) (Part Number: OEM17027868)

John S for Model Number 795.71039.010

Asking for part selection help The Part Number: AP5675953 Replace Ice Maker (14 Cube) #AEQ73110205 looks like the correct unit, but there are only 10 Cubes in my Kenmore Elite Model #795.71039.010, molded in plastic on the unit is >PS< MAZ622655 HKE. 10.01 The front of the ice maker has a very similar to sticker to the one in the video - it is labeled “Important !” and in small print at the bottom is MEZ64490001. I have the same 20 pin main connector, and 10 pin (6 wire) smaller connector. Thank you!

Phil, if resetting the icemaker temporarily fixes the issue, you should replace the icemaker as there must be an internal issue with it.

Abbie, We recommend 24 hours to allow the unit to make ice. Also, check to make sure that the ice fan is running and make sure that there is air coming out of the vent on the side wall.

Michael, based on the model number provided the ice maker AEQ73110205 should work with your unit. However, the part number directly on the back of the ice maker of your unit should be verified to ensure the correct one is replaced.

Andy for Model Number AEQ73110205

I replaced the ice motor assembly. When I finished the install, I pressed the test button. The ice tray rotated correctly, and when it completed, the water filled the tray again, as expected. However some water leaked out of the front of the tray. I would have been more concerned about water leaking behind as if I didn’t install it correctly and left the water dispenser behind or misaligned. Any thoughts? Should I push in the bin, let the ice freeze, and see if it corrects itself?

Andy, To properly assist with your question we will need to have the model number of the unit. Please supply the model so that we can assist properly.

Valerie, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the tray as a replaceable part separate from the ice maker AEQ73110205 (Note: 14 cube - IMPORTANT: The secondary (smaller) wire connector has 6 wires in it. If your original ice maker has a 3 wire connector, see part number [AEQ73110203]. Verify your connector before ordering.)

William, the temperature of the section will need to be measured with a thermometer to ensure that the temperature is less than 8°F. If the temperature is not less than 8°F, the ice maker will not go into a harvest cycle.

Paul, Open the door that houses the ice maker. You will find some vents that send freezer air to the ice maker, check to make sure you feel airflow out of these vents and there are no obstructions. No airflow found could mean possibly the fan in the freezer is not working or ice is blocking the flow of air. As long as it makes slow we know we have water and power we just don't have adequate cold air to get that area down to the right temperature.
