Hello John, If the display pcb is not getting power then it would not come on. The display PCB gets its power from the main pcb and this would need to be replaced.

Hi Donna. Check to make sure you are getting 240v to the dryer. If you are, you could have an issue with the control board display EBR36858901. Is there any fault codes at the display like any lights flashing ? The display board is a user interface control that transfers the commands to the main control board to send voltage to start the unit. You need to remove the power and remove the 3-screws that hold the top at the back of the unit. Then slide back, up and off. Inspect the wires going to the interface and the main control board part # EBR36858801. There is a tech. sheet in a folded packet in the inside of the cabinet that you can use to diagnose the field service mode. You need to check the wire connections going into and out of the line filter as they have short wires and may be barley pushed in. Thank You.

Hello Donna. It sounds like you may have a few issues going on here. For the start button problem, you will need to replace the pcb assembly EBR36858901 and for the drying problem, It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps.

Hello Joe. Check the outlet and make sure there is 120 volts there. If so, check for voltage between wh1 white wire, and wh2 black wire for 120 volts. If so, make sure the wire is connected good to the control board. If so, replace the control board EBR36858901. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
