Deb March 12, 2017 for Model Number DLE7177RM Does the drum wheel assembly include the shaft as well or is this just the wheel?
Chris December 20, 2016 for Model Number 796.81022900 I know I need new rollers. Should I order just the roller, or the roller with the shaft. Does the shaft wear out?
1 Answer Hello Chris. It is always best to replace the shafts when you replace the rollers. They do wear as well. Read More...
Chad November 16, 2016 for Model Number LG TROMM DLE2515S One bad roller. Should I replace all 4? Which ones should I order? Better to replace just the rollers or the whole assy?
Ryan May 12, 2016 for Model Number DLE0442W We ordered drum rollers without the axle. Can we utilize the old axle and only replace the roller? If so, is there an instructional video showing us how to do this? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Hello Ryan. There is no video at this time. You will remove the plastic clip and pull the old roller off the shaft. The install the new roller and reattach the plastic clip onto the unit. Read More...
Stephen May 03, 2016 for Model Number Model: DLE8377NM My dryer drum runs normally and doesn't make any thumping noises, but it is difficult to manually turn the drum. I discovered this when I put the rack in to dry some shoes, and my habit is to turn the drum by hand to assure that I installed the rack correctly. This time, however, it doesn't turn easily when I push it. I am suspecting the drum rollers, but your advice would be greatly appreciated. While I have it apart I want to replace the belt since it's also 10 years old.
1 Answer Stephen, The rollers would be a likely cause for the unit to be difficult turning the drum by hand. You could access the rollers and check them and maybe put a little grease on the axel to see if it will roll smoother. The belt part number for your unit will be 4400EL2001F. Read More...
Michael, March 23, 2016 for Model Number DLG8388WM I replaced all drum rollers about 6 months ago. When dryer first starts it makes a rumbling sound but after its been running it sounds normal. Today after drying a load all I get is a hum and the drum does not rotate. I tried leaving it empty, taped the door button down and turned it on and still got a hum but started the drum by hand and it rotated. As soon as I put some wet towels in and tried to get it to spin it sounded like the belt was sliding around the drum. I'd like your opinion before I purchase new rollers and this time I'll purchase real ones from you and not aftermarket knock offs.
1 Answer Michael, It does sound like this issue could be with the drum roller but could be a issue with the motor being weak. It would be recommended to check the rollers first. Read More...
Molly March 04, 2016 for Model Number LG DLG5988S My dryer is screeching/squealing really loud! Will it be obvious when I look at the drum support rollers that they need to be replaced? I have my dryer apart but I'm just not sure if mine or worn, etc. My dryer is approximately 10 years old so I'm a little reluctant to invest $90.00 in rollers if it could possibly be something else. Your videos are awesome by the way!!!!
1 Answer Hello Molly. Check the idler pulley, seals, and rollers on the unit. You should be able to tell if they need to be replaced. Read More...
