The Roller Kit is an OEM part for LG dryers. This 4 roller kit includes replacement drum support rollers, which are essential for allowing the dryer drum to rotate smoothly during operation. The rollers are designed to provide stable support for the drum, minimizing noise and ensuring efficient drying performance.

Over time, drum rollers can wear out due to continuous use, exposure to heavy loads, or lack of proper lubrication. When the rollers become damaged or worn, they may develop flat spots, lose their smooth surface, or begin to squeak. These issues can lead to improper drum rotation or increased strain on other dryer components.

Symptoms of a bad Roller Kit include:

  • Loud squeaking, rumbling, or thumping noises during operation
  • The dryer drum not spinning or rotating unevenly
  • Excessive vibrations while the dryer is running

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Hello Chris. It is always best to replace the shafts when you replace the rollers. They do wear as well.

Hello Ryan. There is no video at this time. You will remove the plastic clip and pull the old roller off the shaft. The install the new roller and reattach the plastic clip onto the unit.

Stephen for Model Number Model: DLE8377NM

My dryer drum runs normally and doesn't make any thumping noises, but it is difficult to manually turn the drum. I discovered this when I put the rack in to dry some shoes, and my habit is to turn the drum by hand to assure that I installed the rack correctly. This time, however, it doesn't turn easily when I push it. I am suspecting the drum rollers, but your advice would be greatly appreciated. While I have it apart I want to replace the belt since it's also 10 years old.

Stephen, The rollers would be a likely cause for the unit to be difficult turning the drum by hand. You could access the rollers and check them and maybe put a little grease on the axel to see if it will roll smoother. The belt part number for your unit will be 4400EL2001F.

Michael, for Model Number DLG8388WM

I replaced all drum rollers about 6 months ago. When dryer first starts it makes a rumbling sound but after its been running it sounds normal. Today after drying a load all I get is a hum and the drum does not rotate. I tried leaving it empty, taped the door button down and turned it on and still got a hum but started the drum by hand and it rotated. As soon as I put some wet towels in and tried to get it to spin it sounded like the belt was sliding around the drum. I'd like your opinion before I purchase new rollers and this time I'll purchase real ones from you and not aftermarket knock offs.

Michael, It does sound like this issue could be with the drum roller but could be a issue with the motor being weak. It would be recommended to check the rollers first.

Hello Molly. Check the idler pulley, seals, and rollers on the unit. You should be able to tell if they need to be replaced.
