The Water Nozzle is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. It is a component within the refrigerator's ice maker and water dispenser system. The water nozzle controls the flow of water into the ice making mold or water dispenser functions.

Symptoms of a bad water nozzle include:

  • Slow filling or inability to fill the ice-making mold
  • Inconsistent or weak water dispensing from the refrigerator's door
  • Leaks or water drips around the ice maker or water dispenser area

Causes of a faulty water nozzle can be mineral deposits accumulating over time, wear and tear from heavy use, or damage due to impact or freezes.

This part is also compatible with many Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator models.

Frank, The parts list does not show a clamp/retainer for this. You can possibly get one at a local hardware.

Seasonedtech for Model Number 795.75196401

Water found on floor. Slow leak coming from this fitting (5040JA2015A). Replaced it, re-used metal plate and 2 screws. Re-inserted 1/4" tube with plastic tie. Still leaking. Confirmed leak is not coming from the 1/4" tube or connection into this fitting. Water dispenser functioning. Ice maker is not (it used to). Clearly seeping out around this fitting perimeter. Any suggestions? I can send photos if that will help. Thank you. Kenmore Elite 795.75196401

It is likely that the fill tube inside the freezer to the icemaker is frozen and blocking the line when filling. Which causes back pressure and results in leaking.

Jerome, It sounds likely that the tube may not be pushed in far enough and will need to be seated further into the tube. If this does not correct then the injector tube would need replaced.

Hello Tony. You slide the tube into the valve and you will feel it snap into place and lock in. Thank you.
