Wil October 10, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore Refridgerator 596.72003016 Found water leaking from this part in the back of my fridge. When the ice machine fills water sprays out of this connection. I want to replace this part...will this fix my problem. Do I need to replace anything else with this part in order to repair the leak...ie hoses, clamps etc.? Can I just pull this part out and replace it. Do I need to detach it from inside the ice maker area or I can just pull it out and replace this part and reconnect the existing hose? Thanks Wil
1 Answer Will, The part that you have listed is for a LG refrigerator and is a different style fill tube than what yours is. The one that you would need to replace is W11176463 and is the complete fill tube that goes from the outside wall to the icemaker itself. It will pull out and there is a clip WPM0114003 that you should replace to hold the tubing in once it is connected. Read More...
Brian June 07, 2015 for Model Number LFC25760SB It appears my fridge is leaking around this fitting. I have pulled the fitting off and Im not seeing anything blocking the flow...but...I did notice the tube that this connects to, goes into the fridge and down to the icemaker itself appears to be buggered up (presumably from the factory though). Anyway...Im thinking of replacing both pieces. Is there a part number for this tube as well? It appears as a dashed line on the parts diagram for the icemaker.
Christine B January 03, 2014 for Model Number lrfd25850st Part# 5050ja2015a split on our fridge and caused water to leak. We ordered the replacement part but the connection is not great. We are wondering if we can pull the current tube out that goes through the back of the fridge into the ice maker and replace it with the current connection for the LG newer models.
1 Answer Christine, The tubing is designed to be taken out be we are not showing whether the new connection will work for the unit. Read More...
Tony September 04, 2012 for Model Number LRSC26980TT40RE8854 This is part is easily accesible from the rear panel and I can remove both screws but before I pull on the attachment do I have to remove any screws from the inside of the ice maker compartment or is this piece connected to a rubber tube that I have to pull from then re-insert into?
1 Answer Hello Tony, The fill tube for the ice maker is attached to the inside of this part. If you are replacing this part because the tube blew off, the water valve has failed or the water pressure to the unit is too low. Read More...
