Carla October 31, 2018 Hi, my microwave turns on, lights up, and the turn table turns but it doesn't heat anything. I think it is the door switch but I'm having a hard time finding the right one or one that is compatible with my microwave. It is a Whirlpool - Model #WMC50522AS1 I can't even get anything with that model # to come up. Do you have any suggestions for me?
1 Answer Carla, There are no replacement parts available. The manufacturer had a total replacement warranty thru the first year and after that, it was basically a nonrepairable product. Read More...
Joanny March 10, 2017 for Model Number MV-1501W Goldstar microwave the turntable is not turning but the light goes on and the control panel works. This happened a few weeks ago and I noticed if I jiggled on the door the turntable would suddenly start turning. now all of a sudden its not doing anything even if I jiggle the door. How do i know if i need a new turntable motor or a new door switch? Or do I need both?
1 Answer Hello Joanny. You will need to test the door switches on the unit. If good, test for power to the motor. If there, and the motor does not run, replace the motor. Read More...
Jim March 08, 2017 I am desperately seeking to replace a switch on my Sears Blower-Vac. This looks like the broken interlock switch. It is hard to make certain from the picture. Do you have the dimensions, particularly the two mounting holes spacing? Also, what is the current rating on the switch? Thanks!
1 Answer Jim, The mounting holes on this part would be approximately 7/8" apart and would be a 120 vac switch. Read More...

Keri May 13, 2016 for Model Number 721.69123010 Our 4 year old Kenmore microwave won't turn on. We set the cook time and hit "start," but the turntable doesn't turn and the microwave doesn't heat. The clock counts down, and I think the interior light goes on, but that's it -- no heating/cooking. From reading on this website, I see others remedied this problem by replacing door switches. I see there are at least 2 switches listed. My questions are: (1) which switches do I need to purchase and how many of each, (2) do I need a torx bit or other special tool to get into the panel (some customers talk about needing a certain tool) and (3) does this repair require discharging the capacitor? Thanks very much!
1 Answer Hello Keri. You will need to test the switches to see which one you need to replace. Most do require a torx safety bit to remove the cabinet. Also it is always best to discharge capacitor when working on a microwave. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Judy June 27, 2014 for Model Number 721-67903 We have a Kenmore Elite microwave/convection oven. It is heating just fine, but has a humming noise, and reading other online remarks I did my own test. I shut the door with a cup of water and it boiled, and continued to hum. The humming stops when I open the door. I didn't get any heat when the microwave was unplugged.???
1 Answer Judy, With the unit heating just with the door closed and not being turned to on then the issue will either be a shorted neutral wire that is touching ground or the issue is a faulty control board. Read More...
