Thomas January 24, 2013 for Model Number mccf7wbx Chest freezer runs until walls get frosted and cycles down, the problem is when it goes to cycle back on all it does is makes a loud clicking sound on and off very quickly 1 second. The freezer does not go on anymore and it defrost. If I unplug it and turn it on it will repeat above problem after walls get frosty and then cycle on and off in a second. What part would cause this problem?

Gary December 16, 2012 5cf magic chef chest freezer (mccf5wbx) fails intermittently. Green (power available) led always on. Red compressor run light off when failure happening. Is the compressor running enough to get hot freon out of the discharge line (high pressure) flowing into the condenser assy.? You may have a joint leak and all the freon is gone.
