From looking at it without having removed it yet, it looks exactly like the DA97-06317A part but your compatibility checker says it will not work. Dave March 08, 2016 for Model Number RF266AERS I just ordered this part because I tried installing a new filter tonight and it did not go in easy. The filter seemed to have broke -- as the water that came out of the dispenser was black/gray. I took out the new filter. Tried putting in the new filter -- it would not go back in. I assume the filter head is broke...hence my order. Question: how do I remove the old holder and install the new? I hope to not change the tubes -- just the holder. There are 2 screws to remove the filter holder. What about the cover? vI assume as long as I turn off the water I will be good to go. Please advise. Thank you.

Patrick June 25, 2015 for Model Number RF266AEPN/XAA-0001 We have a plastic tube, similar to the one here, running from the back of our fridge to the water supply (not inside the fridge). It is leaking. Is that what the hose in the item replaces? The water supply hose that comes into the fridge? If so, is there anyway to order just the hose?
David April 28, 2015 for Model Number RS277ACRS/XAA-0000 Had this fridge for about 5 years now and change the filter when the fridge indicator light comes on. Never had any issues with it leaking after I installed the new filter but it's dripping now and puddles on the top tray overnight. Bought a new filter and it's doing the same thing. Ran 2 gallons out of the dispenser in one shot and it's still leaking. Should I replace the filter housing next?
